Hunting of Polar bears now have regulations, sports hunters now have to get permits to be able to hunt Polar bears. The permits have special rules about hunting them. Hunters can only use dog-sleds as a vehicle, automobiles are strongly forbidden.
In Canada, Environment Canada have banned the exports of fur, claws, skulls and other products from polar bears harvested in Baffin Bay.
Canada, Russia,Norway,Greenland and the U.S have all signed the Agreement on the Conservation of Polar Bears, which forbids illegal commercial hunting, harassment and unregulated sports hunting of polar bears.
Canada have listed the polar bear on the Species At Risk Act.
